[S194] 61 & 63. Source states that Naomi was married 3 times before John. Source then relates that 'John and Naomi' sold a tract called 'Addition' in 1756, meaning they were married by then. Naomi had a child (Thomas) by her 3rd husband Thomas Layfield circa 1746, so could not have been married to John Newbold before that time. And since John and Naomi's first son, Francis, is estimated born 1747/48, their marriage must have taken place between 1746 and 1748. [S70] 5. Source states that NEWBOLD, John m. Source provides information on Robert Hood and Mary Newbold's children. Their 3rd child, John Newbold Hood, is shown baptized in October of 1772. No birthdates are given for the first two children, Nancy and Mary, but presume they are not twins. Thus it most likely that Robert Hood and Mary Newbold married prior to 1770.
