Source states that since only one Thomas Newbold was listed on 1785 Nanticoke Hundred Tax list---she assumes it was not Thomas C, but his presumed son, Thomas, the father of Francis, George, and Nancy. Other sources show a single Thomas Newbold on Sussex Tax lists in 1782 and 1784. Since Thomas C. was alive in 1777 being named in father Francis' Will, the assumption is made that he died between 1777 and 1782. [S148] .
