      Robert is listed on this Census, which is recorded in June of 1860, as being 51 years old. This would mean he was born in 1809 vice 1810 as other sources (including Census) report.

      Source lists "Newbould, Robert" as being 69 years old as of 28 June 1880 when this page was enumerated. This would make him born in 1810 since instruction was his age at last birthday before 1 June 1880.

      Source lists birth place as Maryland; date of birth 1810; first county settled in IN as Fayette; date settled as 1825; and previous residences as Delaware and Kentucky. Information is same for father Francis. Birth year is correct, unlike that for Francis (which was about 10 years off).

      Source states that Robert Newbold was born in Delaware. At this point the History errs: it says Robert "was a son of Robert Newbold, who came here with his family in pioneer days. The senior Robert Newbold was the son of another Robert Newbold, and his mother is said to have been a daughter of Caesar Rodney, of Delaware, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence." Of course, Robert H. Newbold's father was named Francis (as so indicated elsewhere in this source!), and Francis' father was named Thomas (per Will of William Newbold in 1800, which named Francis' parents as Thomas and Jane).
