| DANIEL SIDES(Andrew) b 1761 M RACHEL HARTSEL b 1770-the evidence for this marriage is largely circumstantial, have seen no paper trail, but have a couple of notes by Coy Hatley (Coy Hatley says he has an old note that shows that William Nelson Sides' father was Daniel Sides and his mother was a Hartsell, but it didn't give her first name. It said William Nelson had a brother named George.)and a Lyerly researcher that Daniel Sides was married to Rachel Hartsell. A Rachel shows up on the 1850 census (page 27b 390:391) in the household of William Sides, presumably her son (Daniel has passed away by 1850). Of note, Charles and the widow of Nelson Sides, Martha Hatley, have same property worth, and are consecutive in the census. CANNOT FIND PROOF OF THIS | ||||

| Leonard Sides (Daniel)- CANDIDATE The third Leonard Sides was born 1799 m Christina Lyerly (dau of Zachariah Lyerly) and went with the Lyerlys to Union County, IL mid 1800's. (He shows up in his daughter's household who married Emmanuel Penrod. Going to throw out a proposition that perhaps Leonard could also be a brother to William, Nelson and George? Why, slim thread that he is born in the time frame for this, and Leonard is also the name of his possible grandfather Hartsel, as well as an uncle.
